Training practice
As an approved training practice your appointment maybe with:
- Registrars
Fully qualified doctors who spend six months per year with us prior to qualifying as a GP - Foundation doctors
Doctors who have just completed their hospital training and spend up to six months while they receive GP training from our doctors. You will be informed of this prior to your appointment. - Undergraduate medical students – university students training for a medical degree. Appointments with students are supervised by a GP and you will be asked for your consent to see a student when booking your appointment.
GP net earnings
All GP practices are required to declare the mean net earnings (eg. Average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. This is required in the interests of the greater public accountability recognising GP pay is ultimately funded from tax paid by the public.
The average pay for GPs working in Kingswood Health Centre in the last financial year was £60558 before tax and national insurance. This is for 0 full time GP, 12 part time GPs and 1 locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.
